The Simple Movements

This series of artworks is inspired by Kandinsky’s studies of the dot and the line. I would describe this particular direction as organic abstract art. Organic shapes “dance” through space, moving gently, guided by the circumstances of their experience. They represent the seeds of life—living matter that is compelled to deform when confronted with abstract graphic matter.

The Simple Movements collection was created using mixed media for the base layers, incorporating geometric objects and lines. In contrast, oil paint was used to form the organic shapes. This approach allows the viewer to distinguish the objects and understand their role on the canvas.
