OIL / ACRYLIC
The Lost Era
Moving, shifting, historical!
This collection of paintings represents the journey of art throughout nostalgia. Like memory fades, so the images on canvases floating away waiting to be remembered again by some one else. Digitally created canvases with repetitive patterns, abstract shapes painted in acrylic, and still life done with oils come together in one body of work. This approach allows us to combine traditional, contemporary art and design, old and new.
All the pieces used in the still life composition are vintage — found, drifted, or gifted to the artist — and belong to her personal collection of vintage ceramics.
Each piece and flower was carefully selected and thoughtfully arranged, eventually coming together to be portrayed on canvas.
The artist asks the spectator: What is there to stay, and what must go? And where is our place among it all?
Three Eras. Three Dimensions. Three Techniques.
The first: Surface pattern design — digital art, reflecting the contemporary gaze toward the future. Old tradition but with modern digital approach.
The second: Acrylic and abstraction — shapes and forms, like glimpses of memories that fade away.
The third: Oil Still Life — a medium reflecting the heritage, craftsmanship, and culture. Approach rooting to the traditional artistic creation.
Through this study, the artist explore what remains and what fades. What traditions endure, and how past, present, and future can coexist on the same canvas — in conversation, not in conflict.
