Razor Art is the name of my second collection, which explores the beauty and extraordinary appearance of razor shells.

Razor shells (Ensis magnus in Latin) are found on sandy beaches in Northern Europe. It was in Northern Holland that I discovered their precious existence.

THIS SERIES PRESENTS A CONTEMPORARY VISION OF THE RAZOR SHELL—A REPRESENTATION OF NATURE’S WORK OF ART AND A REMINDER OF OUR WORLD’S FRAGILITY.

The shell’s simple yet magnetic patterns complement any interior style.

Oil on canvas speaks through colour in the form of a wave, a rhythm, or an ocean. The viewer is drawn in and captivated by the palette’s vortex. Pure and sophisticated, bold and transparent, the texture reveals the mysteries of life.
